Report: Contending Teams Contact Rich Paul About LeBron James’ Free Agency

LeBron James’ next move has become the centerpiece of the NBA offseason, with multiple championship hopefuls already reaching out to his agent, Rich Paul, about the 21-time All-Star’s availability.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, ESPN insider Shams Charania said “a lot of teams” have phoned Paul since the season ended. Charania added that Paul told him at the recent NBA Draft Combine in Chicago that virtually “every contender in the NBA” has checked in on James’ plans.
James, 41, just completed his 23rd NBA season and will enter July as an unrestricted free agent. Retirement also remains an option, and Charania noted the forward intends to spend extended time with family before deciding whether to pursue a 24th campaign.
The Los Angeles Lakers have publicly stated they want James back. His family resides in Southern California, and his son, guard Bronny James, is under contract with the Lakers, factors that could influence a return to Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, other franchises mentioned as potential destinations include the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, adding intrigue to what is expected to be one of the league’s most closely watched storylines of the summer.
Even those closest to him are in the dark. Bronny James recently told reporters he has “no clue” what his father will decide.
