Reaves, who had been sidelined since Game 2, was back in uniform but could not shift the momentum as the Rockets controlled the final minutes at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers trailed by six after three quarters and never fully erased the deficit.
The narrow loss leaves Los Angeles facing elimination when the series moves back to Houston for Game 6.
