The Toronto Raptors have inked free-agent guard Tyreke Key to an Exhibit 10 contract and subsequently placed him on waivers, multiple reports confirmed on September 10.
Key, 25, went undrafted out of the University of Tennessee in 2023. He spent his rookie season with the Leuven Bears in Belgium before joining Raptors 905 for the 2024-25 G League campaign.
In 42 total appearances for Toronto’s G League affiliate—including the Tip-Off Tournament and regular season—Key averaged 6.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 21.5 minutes per game. He shot 47.2 percent from the field, 39.5 percent from three-point range and 70.3 percent at the foul line.
The sign-and-waive maneuver allows the Raptors to offer Key an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $85,300 if he rejoins Raptors 905 and remains with the club for at least 60 days. Toronto executed a similar move with forward Quincy Guerrier earlier in the week.
