2026-nba-draft-second-round-pick-tracker
On September 8, 2025, Hoops Rumors released its annual rundown of how all 30 NBA teams have routed or protected their 2026 second-round selections. The list will be amended throughout the season, but the current snapshot shows where each pick is headed—and, when applicable, the protections or tiebreaker rules that could keep a pick with its original club or shift it elsewhere in 2027.
Atlantic Division
Boston Celtics: Sent to the Hawks or Grizzlies (see multi-team details below).
Brooklyn Nets: Owed to the Heat; top-55 protection extinguishes the debt if triggered.
New York Knicks: Could land with the Celtics or Wizards (see multi-team details below).
Philadelphia 76ers: The Thunder get the most favorable of the Sixers, Mavericks and Thunder picks; the Suns receive the second most favorable; the Wizards take the least favorable.
Toronto Raptors: Top-55-protected pick owed to the Pacers; protection ends the obligation if met.
Central Division
Chicago Bulls: Dealt to the Rockets.
Cleveland Cavaliers: Hold their own pick.
Detroit Pistons: Part of a three-way swap: Celtics receive the most favorable of the Pistons, Bucks and Magic picks; Magic receive the next pick; Knicks get the least favorable.
Indiana Pacers: Routed to the Hawks, Grizzlies, Spurs, Timberwolves or Nets (see multi-team details below).
Milwaukee Bucks: Included in the same three-way arrangement with the Celtics, Magic and Knicks noted above.
Southeast Division
Atlanta Hawks: Sent to the Nets.
Charlotte Hornets: Kings receive the pick if it falls 31-55; Pistons receive it if it lands 56-60. The obligation to the non-receiving team is then cleared.
Miami Heat: Routed to the Hawks, Grizzlies, Spurs, Timberwolves or Nets (see multi-team details below).
Orlando Magic: Part of the Pistons/Bucks/Magic three-way described above.
Washington Wizards: Currently keep their own pick. If their 2026 first-rounder finishes in the top eight, the Wizards instead send this second-rounder to the Knicks.
Northwest Division
Denver Nuggets: Hornets get the more favorable of the Nuggets and Warriors second-rounders; Timberwolves take the less favorable.
Minnesota Timberwolves: Destined for the Celtics, Knicks or Wizards (see multi-team details below).
Oklahoma City Thunder: Hold the right to swap their own pick for either the Sixers or Mavericks pick. Final distribution mirrors the 76ers note above: Thunder receive the best of the three, Suns the next, Wizards the last.
Portland Trail Blazers: Ticketed to the Celtics, Spurs or Wizards (see multi-team details below).
Utah Jazz: Spurs take the pick if it is 31-55; Bucks claim it if it is 56-60. The Jazz’s duty to the unserved team then ends.
Pacific Division
Golden State Warriors: Part of the Nuggets/Warriors arrangement that favors the Hornets and then the Timberwolves.
Los Angeles Clippers: Will go to the Nets or Grizzlies (see multi-team details below).
Los Angeles Lakers: Assigned to the Raptors.
Phoenix Suns: Dealt to the Wizards.
Sacramento Kings: Retain their own pick.
Southwest Division
Dallas Mavericks: Slot into the same three-team hierarchy with the Sixers and Thunder detailed above.
Houston Rockets: Keep their own pick unless their 2026 first-rounder lands in the top four, in which case this second-rounder goes to the Thunder.
Memphis Grizzlies: Clippers get the pick if it is 31-42; Trail Blazers if it is 43-60. The other obligation is then wiped out.
New Orleans Pelicans: Sent to the Celtics, Spurs or Wizards (see multi-team details below).
San Antonio Spurs: Could ultimately convey to the Timberwolves (see multi-team details below).
Multi-Team Distribution Rules
Knicks / Timberwolves / Trail Blazers / Pelicans:
- Celtics receive the most favorable of the four picks (Knicks, Timberwolves, Trail Blazers, Pelicans).
- Knicks obtain the least favorable of their own pick and the Timberwolves pick.
- Spurs get the least favorable of the Trail Blazers and Pelicans picks.
- Wizards claim the least favorable of two groups: (a) the more favorable of Knicks/Timberwolves and (b) the more favorable of Trail Blazers/Pelicans.
Celtics / Pacers / Heat / Clippers / Spurs:
- Grizzlies secure the most favorable of the Clippers pick and the most favorable among the Celtics, Pacers and Heat picks; Nets obtain the least favorable of those two assets.
- Spurs receive the most favorable of their own pick and the less favorable of the Pacers and Heat picks; Timberwolves get the least favorable of that same pair.
- Hawks take the least favorable between the Celtics pick and the more favorable of the Pacers and Heat picks.
