The Los Angeles Lakers halted a recent skid with consecutive wins over the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, and head coach JJ Redick credited Luka Doncic’s fearless style for helping steady the team.
On March 1, 2026 at Crypto.com Arena, Doncic delivered a pivotal third-quarter stretch against Sacramento that broke open what had been a sluggish offensive period. “There’s a daring to Luka’s game,” Redick said after the 112-98 victory. “We were struggling to get cohesive offense, a lot of holding the basketball. I called timeout, and he made a bunch of amazing plays.”
According to Redick, the 27-year-old guard split a blitz to score at the rim, threaded a wrap-around pass, and located Rui Hachimura for an open three-point attempt by anticipating a defensive switch. “His processing speed was spectacular in that stretch,” the coach added.
