The Cleveland Cavaliers overpowered the Los Angeles Clippers 124-91 on Wednesday night, posting their most lopsided road win of the season one day after completing a multi-team trade.

Donovan Mitchell paced Cleveland with 29 points and nine assists in just 30 minutes. The All-Star guard went 11-for-21 from the field and 5-for-10 from three-point range as the Cavaliers improved to 31-21.

Newly acquired point guard Dennis Schroder made an immediate impact in his Cleveland debut, finishing with 11 points, six assists and a team-high 14 shot attempts. Rookie Jaylon Tyson provided 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while Sam Merrill matched Schroder with 11 points off the bench. Center Jarrett Allen added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Cleveland shot 51 percent overall and 39 percent from beyond the arc. Head coach Kenny Atkinson’s club again played without injured starters Evan Mobley (calf) and Max Strus (foot).

The Clippers, now 23-27, were without recently traded guard James Harden. Newly acquired Darius Garland was in uniform on the Los Angeles bench but did not play as he continues to recover from injury. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 25 points.

The victory gives Cleveland four wins in its last five outings. The Cavaliers conclude their West Coast trip Friday against the Golden State Warriors, while the Clippers host the Phoenix Suns the same night.
