Puka Nacua Plans to Wear Luka Doncic Jersey at Lakers Games After LeBron James Joins 76ers

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua intends to keep attending Los Angeles Lakers games despite LeBron James leaving the franchise for the Philadelphia 76ers. Speaking at Rams training camp, Nacua said he will show up to Crypto.com Arena wearing a Luka Doncic jersey this season.
“I think so, 100%,” Nacua said when asked if he planned to be at Lakers games. “I do have a Luka Doncic jersey, so I’m here. Sadly, I’m definitely not flying out to Philly to make any of those games.”
Nacua, who has long named James as his favorite NBA player, joked that the four-time MVP could suit up as a tight end for the Rams if he ever decides to trade the hardwood for the gridiron. “We got a lot of tight ends and we’re running 13 personnel, so if he ever wants to hang up the jersey, we got some cleats for him for sure,” he said.
James’ first return to Los Angeles as a visiting player is expected to be one of the most sought-after tickets of the 2025–26 NBA season. Nacua indicated he would likely be in attendance for that matchup.
The Lakers have entered a new phase built around Doncic. The organization re-signed guard Austin Reaves and added Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes and Collin Sexton, among others. Doncic will host a four-day minicamp for the entire roster in Slovenia as part of preseason preparations.
