The NBA named Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Nov. 24–30. New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson captured the honor in the Eastern Conference.
Doncic averaged 37.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 10.3 assists while guiding the Lakers to a 3-0 record. Los Angeles defeated the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks to finish Emirates NBA Cup group play, then topped the New Orleans Pelicans to close the week.
The 26-year-old shot 48.5% from the floor, 45.4% from three-point range and 86.1% at the free-throw line during the stretch. His week included:
- 43 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists in a 17-point win over the Clippers;
- 35 points and 11 assists against his former team, the Mavericks;
- 34 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in a 12-point victory over the Pelicans.
Doncic leads the league in scoring and ranks fourth in assists this season. He opened the campaign with consecutive 40-point games, becoming the first Laker ever to do so, and has already moved into the franchise’s top 10 for 40-point performances. His 39 career 40-point double-doubles place him fourth among active players.
Earlier in November, Doncic and backcourt partner Austin Reaves each scored at least 30 points in three straight contests, making them only the fourth duo in NBA history to reach that mark. The previous four Western Conference weekly awards had gone to Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs winning the season’s first week.
This is Doncic’s first Player of the Week nod of 2025-26 and the 15th of his career. The Lakers begin a four-game slate Monday against the Phoenix Suns as Doncic seeks consecutive weekly honors.
