Los Angeles Lakers star guard Luka Doncic will headline a Jordan Brand summer tour that will span three European cities from June 16-21, 2025, the company announced.
The showcase opens on June 16 in Madrid, Spain, moves to Doncic’s hometown of Ljubljana, Slovenia, on June 20, and concludes on June 21 in Belgrade, Serbia. Jordan Brand said the initiative is designed to highlight basketball’s ability to unite communities and motivate young athletes.
Throughout the trip, Doncic is scheduled to meet with local players and fans through retail store events, youth minicamps and featured appearances at The One, Jordan Brand’s global streetball platform that gathers top young talent for open-style competition.
Roots in Each Stop
Madrid and Belgrade hold particular significance in Doncic’s career. From 2015 to 2018 he played for Real Madrid, winning three Liga ACB titles and the 2018 EuroLeague championship, where he earned both league and Final Four MVP honors. That season’s EuroLeague Final Four was staged in Belgrade, the final city on the tour.
Lakers Roster Outlook
While Doncic’s long-term deal with the Lakers is secure, the franchise is expected to focus this offseason on retaining backcourt partner Austin Reaves. Team officials reportedly consider concerns about the defensive pairing of Doncic and Reaves to be overstated and do not anticipate those issues affecting negotiations to re-sign Reaves.
The European tour marks another opportunity for Doncic, one of the NBA’s most popular international figures, to engage directly with a global fan base before returning for the 2025-26 season.
