Lakers sign forward Arthur Kaluma to two-way contract

The Los Angeles Lakers have reached a two-way agreement with forward Arthur Kaluma, agents Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta of Life Sports Agency told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
Kaluma, 23, was on an Exhibit 10 deal after spending the 2025-26 season with the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 14.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 34 G League appearances while shooting 54.5% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.
His performance in the 2026 Las Vegas Summer League accelerated the promotion. Kaluma led Los Angeles with 18.6 points per game on 60.9% shooting overall and 50% from deep, highlighted by a 34-point outing against the Dallas Mavericks in the semifinals.
“I feel a lot more comfortable out there,” Kaluma said after the Mavericks game, noting improved footwork on defense and confidence in his shooting after a full year in the Lakers system.
The Lakers’ three two-way slots were previously filled by returning guard Chris Mañon and undrafted rookies AK Okereke and Peter Suder. One of the latter two will have to be waived to accommodate Kaluma.
Training camp opens this fall, where Kaluma and Mañon are expected to compete for rotation minutes as Los Angeles enters the 2026-27 season with a deeper roster than in recent years.
