Los Angeles, — Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul said there is “no rush” for LeBron James to decide whether he will enter free agency this summer, adding that every interested team has already made a sufficient case for the four-time NBA champion.
Paul, who represents James, indicated that the 39-year-old star will take his time before choosing between exercising his $51.4 million player option with the Los Angeles Lakers or testing the open market. According to the agent, organizations hoping to sign the league’s all-time leading scorer have provided enough information, eliminating the need for additional recruiting efforts.
James has until June 29 to opt in or out of the final year of his contract. If he declines the option, he would become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
