The Sacramento Kings will evaluate six draft candidates on Friday, headlined by UConn forward Alex Karaban, according to the Sacramento Bee. Karaban, a senior who became draft-eligible automatically, is projected No. 31 in ESPN analyst Jeremy Woo’s latest mock draft and sits No. 30 on the network’s big board.

Joining Karaban in Sacramento are Louisville guard Ryan Conwell, Kentucky wing Otega Oweh, Virginia Tech forward Toibu Lawal, Vanderbilt forward Tyler Nickel and Missouri forward Mark Mitchell. All six prospects appear in ESPN’s top 100, with Conwell ranked No. 36—second-highest in the group. The Kings own the 7th, 34th and 45th selections in next month’s draft.

Warriors hold pre-draft session

Golden State hosted its own six-player workout on Thursday. The invitees were Northern Iowa guard Trey Campbell, Purdue center Oscar Cluff, Michigan State center Carson Cooper, Grand Canyon guard Jaden Henley, Pacific forward Elias Ralph and Gonzaga guard Jalen Warley. ESPN lists Cluff at No. 63 and Henley at No. 72; the remaining participants are outside the top 100.

DiVincenzo faces long recovery

Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch called guard Donte DiVincenzo “the heart and soul of so many things we do” after the 29-year-old tore his right Achilles tendon during the first round of the playoffs, The Athletic reported. DiVincenzo is expected to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming season, the final year of a contract that will pay him $12.5 million in 2026/27. Teammate Jaden McDaniels expressed optimism, saying, “Hopefully he’s going to have a speedy recovery.”

Sorber eyes Summer League return

Oklahoma City center Thomas Sorber, sidelined his entire rookie campaign by a torn ACL, continues to study game plans from the bench and hopes to suit up for Summer League in July, he told The Athletic. The 20-year-old, selected 15th overall last year, said he remains focused on learning opponents’ tendencies so he can transition smoothly when cleared to play.
