Golden State guard Stephen Curry will undergo another evaluation on his right knee sometime next week, the club announced Friday.

Curry, 38, has been sidelined since January 30 with patellofemoral pain syndrome—often called runner’s knee—and will sit out Friday’s home game against Washington and Sunday’s matchup in Denver. Sunday’s absence will mark his 25th straight missed contest.

The Warriors said the two-time MVP is “making good progress” but has not yet taken part in a full 5-on-5 scrimmage. That step is expected “in the coming days,” according to the team.

Head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the calendar is becoming an issue. “We’re not bringing him back only for the play-in game,” Kerr told reporters. “He’d need to play some games. We need to give him a runway if this is going to work, and we are running out of games.”

Following Sunday’s trip to Denver, Golden State begins a five-game homestand that features four teams currently in playoff position. The club closes the regular season on the road at Sacramento on April 10 and at the L.A. Clippers on April 12.

Additional Injury Notes

Moses Moody underwent surgery Friday to repair a torn patellar tendon.
• Forward Al Horford (right soleus strain) has started light on-court work but will remain out for at least another week.
• Guard Seth Curry (left adductor strain) and center Quinten Post (right foot soreness) are listed day-to-day. Horford and Seth Curry have missed seven straight games, while Post has sat out the last two.
