Milwaukee, WI — Newly acquired Bucks guard Tyler Herro said he has moved past last week’s reported clash with former Miami Heat teammate Bam Adebayo and is concentrating on his role in Milwaukee.
“Honestly, I’m just trying to move past all of it,” Herro told ESPN. “I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they’ve been doing.”
Incident in Las Vegas
ESPN reported that Herro and Adebayo became involved in a physical confrontation at Resorts World in Las Vegas several days ago. According to the outlet, Adebayo confronted Herro over social-media remarks made after the blockbuster trade that sent Herro to Milwaukee in exchange for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Witnesses intervened before the situation escalated further.
Return to Wisconsin
Herro, a Wisconsin native, said Milwaukee was the only destination that truly appealed to him once it became clear he would leave Miami. “I’m ready to come home and not prove everyone wrong, but just be able to represent the city and the state because I wanted to do that coming out of school as well,” he said.
Miami Tenure and Fresh Start
The 26-year-old spent seven seasons with the Heat, earning the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award in 2022 and making his first All-Star appearance during the 2024-25 season. Although his time in Miami ended on a tense note, Herro emphasized that any remaining friction with Adebayo is in the past as he begins a new chapter with his hometown team.
