The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Friday that guards Ayo Dosunmu and Anthony Edwards are both available for tonight’s Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the San Antonio Spurs.
Dosunmu had been dealing with soreness in his right heel, an injury sustained during Wednesday’s Game 2 loss in San Antonio. The third-year guard was limited to 10 minutes in that contest after missing Game 6 of the first round against Denver and Game 1 versus San Antonio with right calf soreness.
Edwards, who is playing through a bone bruise in his left knee suffered in the Game 4 defeat to Denver on April 25, also entered the day listed as questionable. The four-time All-Star came off the bench to spark Minnesota’s upset win in Game 1, but struggled along with the rest of the roster in the lopsided Game 2 setback.
The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1 as the clubs meet tonight with a berth in the Western Conference finals at stake. Minnesota has advanced to that round in each of the past two seasons, the first time the franchise has achieved consecutive appearances.
