The Boston Celtics downgraded Jayson Tatum to questionable for Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers because of left knee stiffness, the team announced Friday. The deciding matchup of the Eastern Conference series is set for Saturday night at TD Garden.
Tatum initially dismissed concerns after Game 6, but the updated injury report places his availability in doubt. Through the first six games, the All-Star forward is averaging 23.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 6.8 assists.
Philadelphia also filed an update of its own: Paul George is listed as probable due to illness, according to PHLY Sports, indicating the veteran is expected to suit up. “I’m finally enjoying it now that I’m able to do things I was once able to do again,” George told The Associated Press. “It’s fun again. It’s like seeing who I am again.”
The 76ers have erased a 3-1 deficit by winning the past two contests, evening the series at 3-3. Home-court advantage has been minimal; Boston has dropped two of three games at TD Garden in the series.
Tipoff for Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
