Lamar Stevens to Serbia’s KK Partizan
Former NBA forward Lamar Stevens has reached an agreement with KK Partizan, the Belgrade club announced on social media. The 27-year-old spent last season with Paris Basketball, appearing in 53 games and averaging 9.6 points and 3.4 rebounds over 20.4 minutes.
Stevens played 220 NBA contests across five seasons, most recently logging 17 games for Memphis in 2024/25. His league career produced averages of 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 15.2 minutes while shooting .463 from the field, .287 from three and .726 at the foul line.
Marjanovic to Represent SGA at William Jones Cup
Veteran center Boban Marjanovic, 37, has signed a short-term deal with Philippine team SGA to play in the William Jones Cup, agent Misko Raznatovic reported. The invitational tournament runs Aug. 13-23 at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Last season Marjanovic averaged 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 22.5 minutes over eight ABA League games for Slovenian club Perspektiva Ilirija. He also made brief stops with China’s Zhejiang Lions and Turkey’s Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Kansas City Mayor Pushes for NBA Return
Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas reiterated his city’s interest in landing an NBA franchise, telling Eurohoops “Why not us?” While Las Vegas and Seattle are widely viewed as frontrunners in any future expansion, Lucas said Kansas City is prepared to pursue either relocation opportunities or an eventual league expansion.
“I think we could easily support an NBA team,” Lucas stated. The city last hosted the league from 1972 to 1985, when the Kings relocated to Sacramento.
Vezenkov Earns Master’s, Eyes Coaching Career
Reigning EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov has completed a master’s degree at Bulgaria’s National Sports Academy with the intention of becoming a head coach after retirement, Eurohoops reported. The Olympiacos forward saw NBA action in 42 games for Sacramento during the 2023/24 season.
