San Antonio is keeping guard/forward David Jones Garcia in the organization, reaching agreement on another two-way contract, according to agents Deirunas Visockas and Guillermo Bermejo, who spoke with Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The 6’4” swingman earned his first two-way pact with the Spurs after a standout performance in the 2025 NBA Summer League. He had held brief two-way stints with Philadelphia and Utah during the 2024/25 season but did not appear in an NBA game until making his debut for San Antonio last fall.
Jones Garcia saw limited action in 11 NBA contests, yet produced eye-catching numbers for the G League’s Austin Spurs, averaging 26.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks across 32.7 minutes in 16 games. He shot 41.6% from the field and 27.7% from three-point range while converting 84.7% of his free throws.
Selected as one of seven G League players for the Rising Stars event during G League Weekend, Jones Garcia missed the showcase after undergoing season-ending surgery on his right ankle in early February.
San Antonio issued the 24-year-old a qualifying offer in June; the new agreement is expected to be that one-year, two-way offer, which carries a partial guarantee of $91,000.
To finalize the signing, the Spurs must release one of their current two-way players: JaKobi Gillespie, Maliq Brown or Emanuel Miller. With Gillespie and Brown having signed earlier this month after being picked in the second round of the 2026 draft, Miller is the most likely candidate to be waived.
When this contract becomes official, Houston forward Isaiah Crawford will be the lone two-way restricted free agent still on the market.
