- Houston Rockets – A theoretical deal built around young forwards Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason would give the rebuilding Wizards additional youth while Houston secures another veteran star.
- Minnesota Timberwolves – A framework sending Julius Randle to Washington was floated, positioning Minnesota to bolster its frontcourt for a title push.
- Golden State Warriors – Haider proposed moving Jimmy Butler’s contract and the No. 11 overall pick to the Wizards, potentially pairing Davis with Stephen Curry for another championship run.
- Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets were also mentioned as clubs that could combine veteran salaries, draft assets and cap flexibility in pursuit of the eight-time All-Star.
