Serena Winters will handle sideline reporting duties on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ radio network throughout the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the team announced.
Winters has filled the same role on FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland’s regional telecasts since 2021 and also hosted pre- and postgame coverage for road contests during the regular season. With FanDuel Sports Network Cleveland—formerly Bally Sports Ohio and FOX Sports Ohio—shutting down, the Cavaliers will seek a new regional television partner for the 2024-25 campaign.
The playoff television package will shift entirely to national outlets. Game 1 of Cleveland’s first-round series against the Toronto Raptors tips off Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime. Game 2 airs Monday on Peacock, while Game 3 on Thursday from Toronto will be shown by ESPN. Additional broadcast assignments remain to be determined.
Radio coverage will originate from the Cavaliers Radio Network, comprising 28 stations anchored by 100.7 FM WMMS and WTAM 1100 AM/106.9 FM. All postseason games will be carried on WMMS; WTAM will simulcast when schedules do not conflict with Cleveland Guardians baseball.
Winters joins play-by-play voice Tim Alcorn and analyst Jim Chones, the former Cavaliers center who is completing his final season behind the microphone. Spanish-language broadcasts of all home playoff games will be available on LaMega 1300 AM, featuring bilingual announcer Rafa Hernández-Brito.
