Doncic Plans Four-Day Lakers Minicamp in Slovenia; Green Alters Warriors Contract; Kings Rookies Target Culture Shift

Luka Doncic is set to bring his new Los Angeles Lakers teammates to Slovenia next month, Golden State forward Draymond Green has modified key terms in his latest deal, and Sacramento’s rookies are already talking about reshaping the franchise’s identity.
Lakers
ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that Doncic will host a four-day minicamp at his home country ahead of the 2024-25 season, his first full campaign anchoring the Lakers. The gathering in Ljubljana will include workouts, golf rounds and local sightseeing. According to the report, Doncic has offered to pay all travel costs for teammates who attend.
Los Angeles arrives with a revamped roster following the departures of LeBron James, Marcus Smart, Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura and Luke Kennard. New additions include Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton and Sandro Mamukelashvili.
Warriors
Draymond Green’s one-year, $27.7 million contract contains a familiar 15 percent trade kicker, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported. Unlike his previous agreement, the veteran forward waived his implicit no-trade clause for the coming season, allowing Golden State to move him after Dec. 15 without his consent.
Slater also quoted head coach Steve Kerr, who said the Warriors never believed they were strong contenders to sign LeBron James this summer: “I didn’t even realistically think we were in the running for LeBron,” Kerr said.
Kings
Despite missing the playoffs in what the organization called its toughest season in more than a decade, Sacramento’s younger players say change must start from within. Rookie center Maxime Raynaud told NBC Sports California that the roster, not coaches or management, must set the tone: “We work as a group, and at the end of the day, it’s our responsibility to get it going on the floor,” he said.
The Kings are counting on Raynaud and fellow rookie Dylan Cardwell to help establish a new foundation as the team looks to rebound next season.
