New York Knicks guard Josh Hart publicly answered Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green on Monday, one day after Green mocked the Knicks and point guard Jalen Brunson over what he labeled a “$100 million” commitment.
Green’s remarks, delivered during a media appearance over the weekend, questioned New York’s long-term investment in Brunson. Hart, Brunson’s former college teammate and current backcourt partner, fired back hours later, defending both the franchise and the guard.
The brief exchange quickly circulated on social media, adding another flash point to the NBA’s offseason conversation. No additional statements had been released by either team as of Tuesday morning.
