Italian center Luigi Suigo has removed his name from the 2026 NBA Draft and will play college basketball at Villanova in the 2026-27 season, according to DraftExpress reporter Jonathan Givony.
The 19-year-old was measured at 7-foot-3 without shoes (about 7-foot-4 in sneakers) and 289 pounds during the draft combine. Projected as a late first-round prospect, Suigo appeared between the late 20s and early 30s on most draft boards, including No. 32 at ESPN. He spent the 2025-26 campaign with Mega Superbet in the Adriatic League, where he averaged 8.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks across 16 games (18.2 minutes per contest). A strong season with the Wildcats could push him into lottery consideration in 2027, when he is expected to test the draft waters again.
While Suigo heads to the NCAA, Spanish swingman Sergio De Larrea will keep his name in the 2026 draft, Givony reports. The 6-foot-6 guard/forward has played the last four seasons with Valencia of the EuroLeague. In 28 Liga ACB appearances this season, the 20-year-old posted 9.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game, shooting 44.3% from the field, 40.7% from three-point range and 83.3% at the line. ESPN slots De Larrea at No. 34 overall, and executives expect him to secure a guaranteed contract late in the first round or early in the second.
International early entrants have until 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday to finalize their draft decisions.
