The Sacramento Kings have reached a three-year agreement worth $6.35 million with rookie guard Emanuel Sharp, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Sharp, selected 45th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, was signed using the second-round pick exception. The arrangement gives the 21-year-old the league minimum salary each season, with a team option for the third year. Scotto reports the first two years are fully guaranteed.
The former University of Houston standout averaged 15.5 points per game as a senior while posting shooting splits of .413/.372/.891 and earning a reputation as a rugged on-ball defender.
Following the draft, league sources indicated Sharp would join Sacramento’s 15-man roster rather than accept a two-way contract. Because the deal is structured under the second-round pick exception, it counts less against the salary cap, tax and apron than a veteran’s minimum agreement—an important factor for a Kings front office navigating limited financial flexibility after guard Zach LaVine picked up his $49 million player option.
