INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers have reached a two-year, $17 million agreement with free-agent forward Kelly Oubre Jr., according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko reported the contract is fully guaranteed.
Oubre, 29, averaged at least 14 points and five rebounds in each of the past three seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and shot a career-best 36.0 percent from three-point range last year. Indiana had been linked to the athletic wing since the start of free agency, valuing his defensive versatility and fit alongside All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton in transition.
Magic keep Jonathan Isaac on one-year contract
ORLANDO — Forward Jonathan Isaac will remain with the Orlando Magic on a one-year deal, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reported. Orlando waived Isaac over the weekend to create additional cap flexibility, a move that helped finalize agreements with Nikola Vucevic and Jevon Carter while keeping the club below the NBA’s second tax apron.
The former No. 6 overall pick appeared in 52 games last season, contributing 2.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per night while anchoring the second unit on defense. Injuries have limited Isaac throughout his career, but he is regarded as one of the league’s top defensive forwards when healthy.
Wizards re-sign Jamir Watkins on two-way deal
WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards have re-signed forward Jamir Watkins to a two-way contract, according to the NBA transaction log. The second-round selection played 50 games as a rookie, averaging 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds and earning increased minutes late in the season.
Watkins, who originally entered the league on a two-way agreement, later secured a standard NBA contract during the 2025-26 campaign.
