San Francisco, CA — Head coach Steve Kerr plans to spend the next week or two evaluating whether he will return to the Golden State Warriors for a 13th season. Speaking after the club’s season ended, the 60-year-old coach emphasized that his decision is closely tied to star guard Stephen Curry.

“I would never walk away from Steph, but all the stuff has to be aligned and right,” Kerr said. Team sources told ESPN’s Anthony Slater that the organization will not pressure Kerr for an immediate answer. “We don’t need to rush,” one source noted.

Suns Rule Out Williams for Game 3

The Phoenix Suns announced center Mark Williams will miss Saturday’s Game 3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a stress reaction in his left foot. The injury has sidelined him since April 10.

In Williams’ absence, rookie Oso Ighodaro started Game 2, while first-year big man Khaman Maluach played the entire fourth quarter to close the contest.

Goodwin, Allen Listed as Game-Time Calls

Guard Jordan Goodwin, who started 10 regular-season games and was in the Game 1 lineup before leaving with a calf injury after five minutes, is considered a game-time decision for Game 3, according to AZ Central. Grayson Allen carries the same designation.

James Sparks Lakers Comeback

LeBron James delivered another postseason highlight during the Los Angeles Lakers’ Game 3 win over the Houston Rockets on Friday. The veteran forward erased a six-point deficit in 30 seconds, capping the burst with a three-pointer in front of the Rockets bench. His potential game-winner at the end of regulation rimmed out, sending the matchup to overtime, where Los Angeles prevailed.

“In the moment right now, I don’t really think about it,” teammate Rui Hachimura said. “But I think in the future, I’ll start thinking about how crazy this whole thing was—almost like in a dream.”
