ATLANTA — Atlanta Hawks two-way guard Keshon Gilbert underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a core muscle injury, the team confirmed.
The 6’4″, 22-year-old rookie signed a two-way contract with Atlanta in March and appeared in one game for the club. In the regular-season finale, a 143-117 loss to the Miami Heat, he logged 25.5 minutes, finishing with 11 points and nine assists.
Gilbert began the 2025-26 campaign with the Washington Wizards, seeing action in three games before being waived. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2025 after completing his junior and senior years at Iowa State.
The Hawks said Gilbert will be re-evaluated in June, and an update on his status will be provided at that time.
