Milwaukee Bucks guard Gary Harris has opted into his $3.8 million player option for the 2026-27 season, according to a league source cited by Keith Smith of Spotrac.
The 31-year-old appeared in 48 games during his first campaign in Milwaukee, averaging 13.8 minutes, 2.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three-point range—each figure marking career lows in scoring but strong perimeter accuracy.
Harris signed a two-year, $7.45 million deal with the Bucks last summer that included this option, which carried a June 29 decision deadline. He earned $3.6 million in 2025-26.
The 12-year veteran spent the bulk of his career with the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic before joining Milwaukee. His expiring contract and consistent three-point shooting could provide the Bucks with a potential trade chip as the front office seeks roster flexibility.
Milwaukee faces additional option decisions in the coming week: Kevin Porter Jr. ($5.4 million), Gary Trent Jr. ($3.9 million), Taurean Prince ($3.8 million) and Jericho Sims ($2.8 million) all hold player options, while the team controls a $2.4 million option on Andre Jackson Jr.
