Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer highlighted several free-agency scenarios during his latest live stream, outlining potential destinations for Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook, Jonathan Kuminga, and possible frontcourt additions for the Golden State Warriors.
Heat, Celtics, Clippers tracking Beal
Fischer said the Heat, Celtics, and Clippers are among the clubs keeping tabs on free-agent guard Bradley Beal. Miami expressed preliminary interest earlier in the signing period but has paused major moves while waiting on LeBron James’ decision. Boston remains a possibility due to Beal’s friendship with Jayson Tatum, according to Fischer, who was advised not to dismiss the Celtics’ chances. The 33-year-old logged only six games for Los Angeles in 2025-26 before a hip injury required season-ending surgery. He later turned down a $5.62 million player option but, per Fischer, could still reunite with the Clippers, the team he targeted last summer. Any new deal is expected to come from a club with playoff ambitions.
Westbrook unlikely to stay in Sacramento
Fischer has “not heard much” regarding Russell Westbrook’s market recently but believes a return to the Sacramento Kings is improbable. “I don’t believe Sacramento wants him back, and I don’t believe he wants to go back there,” Fischer said.
Kuminga hoping Cavs emerge if LeBron departs
Jonathan Kuminga and his representatives are hoping the Cleveland Cavaliers become a realistic landing spot should LeBron James leave, Fischer reported. New head coach Kenny Atkinson, a former Warriors assistant, is familiar with the 23-year-old forward. Kuminga’s camp believes a starting role and a salary above the mid-level exception could be attainable in Cleveland, but achieving that figure would require a sign-and-trade, placing the Cavs hard up against the first tax apron.
Warriors looking at veteran stretch bigs
With Quinten Post now in Memphis, the Warriors are seeking a floor-spreading power forward or center, particularly if they succeed in adding LeBron. Fischer named Kelly Olynyk and Georges Niang as viable targets who could likely be signed for the veteran minimum.
The free-agency landscape is expected to evolve quickly once LeBron James’ decision is known, potentially triggering movement for several of the players mentioned above.
