Raptors assistant general manager Dan Tolzman told reporters Tuesday that Toronto is content holding the 19th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and will take the best player available. He said the draft becomes unpredictable after the first 10–12 selections and noted that moving up would be costly. Tolzman added the club has lacked a rim-protecting lob threat but could address that need through the draft, free agency or trades.
Bulls lock in Tiago Splitter
Tiago Splitter’s agreement to coach the Bulls contains three guaranteed seasons and a team option for a fourth, longtime reporter Dwight Jaynes tweeted. His salary is believed to match the league’s average for head coaches.
Sixers evaluate options at No. 22
The 76ers began pre-draft workouts for the 22nd pick, hosting Koa Peat (Arizona), Dailyn Swain (Texas), Chris Cenac (Houston), Allen Graves (Santa Clara), Isaiah Evans (Duke) and Zuby Ejiofor (St. John’s), according to Jake Fischer. Tony Jones reports Philadelphia is also scheduling Zoom interviews with additional first-round prospects who will not visit in person.
LaMelo Ball lawsuit settled
Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has settled a civil suit alleging he drove over a 12-year-old’s foot in 2024. The family had sought $3.75 million in damages; settlement terms were not disclosed, The Charlotte Observer reported.
Knicks host Karaban, Mitchell
UConn forward Alex Karaban (No. 30 on ESPN’s board) and St. John’s forward Dillon Mitchell (No. 42) worked out for the Knicks on Wednesday, sources told Ian Begley. New York holds the 24th, 31st and 55th picks in next week’s draft.
