Late-game drought, offensive glass sink Cavaliers in Game 4 setback

The Cleveland Cavaliers squandered a series of late chances and fell to the Toronto Raptors, 93-89, on Sunday night at Scotiabank Arena, leaving their first-round matchup tied at two games apiece.
Toronto closed the second quarter on a 10-0 run and ended the third on a 12-2 burst. Cleveland then went scoreless for the final 2:30—aside from a last-second basket by Sam Merrill—while the Raptors controlled the boards with 21 offensive rebounds.
Donovan Mitchell hit just 6 of 24 shots, and James Harden finished 6 of 14 for 19 points but committed seven turnovers, giving him 16 giveaways in the two road games. Overall, the Cavaliers turned the ball over 17 times.
Merrill supplied 14 points in 19 minutes off the bench. Jarrett Allen collected 15 rebounds but scored only three points, and Evan Mobley went 4 of 11 from the field. No other Cavalier reached double figures.
Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram paced Toronto with 23 points each. RJ Barrett added 18, while rookie Collin Murray-Boyles posted 15 points and 10 rebounds, frequently outworking Cleveland’s frontcourt.
The best-of-seven series shifts back to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for Game 5, with two of the potential three remaining games scheduled for Cleveland.
