The Los Angeles Clippers have issued qualifying offers to guard Bennedict Mathurin, wing Jordan Miller and guard Kobe Sanders, positioning all three players as restricted free agents for the 2026 offseason.

Mathurin’s offer is worth $8.77 million, while Miller’s projects at about $2.74 million and Sanders’ at roughly $2.39 million. The final figures for Miller and Sanders will be determined once the 2026-27 salary cap is set.

By extending the offers, the Clippers secured the right of first refusal on any offer sheets the trio may sign with other teams. Los Angeles can withdraw the offers at any point before July 13 if they remain unsigned.

Roster Implications

According to The Athletic, the Clippers declined 2026-27 team options on Miller and Sanders with the intention of negotiating new multiyear contracts. A recent report indicated the club had considered renouncing several free agents to open cap space, but tendering these qualifying offers suggests the team is not currently pursuing that route.

Player Backgrounds

Bennedict Mathurin (24) was selected sixth overall in the 2022 draft and arrived in Los Angeles from Indiana as part of the February trade that sent Ivica Zubac to the Pacers. In a career-high 30.0 minutes per game across 54 contests with Indiana and L.A., the guard averaged 17.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists. His shooting percentages, however, dipped to 43.0 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from three, including a 17-for-82 mark (20.7 percent) after joining the Clippers.

Jordan Miller, taken in the second round in 2023, spent much of his first two seasons on the fringes of the rotation before carving out a steady role in 2025-26. The 6-foot-6 wing logged 22.1 minutes a night over 60 games, contributing 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 53.1 percent overall and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc. He was converted from a two-way deal to a standard contract in February.

Kobe Sanders, the 50th pick in the 2025 draft, also transitioned from a two-way slot to the 15-man roster in February. The rookie averaged 7.3 points in 19.9 minutes, posting a .466/.408/.826 shooting line.

The qualifying offers keep all three players under team control as the Clippers continue to shape their roster for the 2026-27 campaign.
