The Boston Celtics have completed their team-option decisions for the 2026/27 campaign, exercising options on Neemias Queta, Jordan Walsh and Dalano Banton, while declining options on Amari Williams and Max Shulga, The Boston Globe reported.

Queta, the NBA’s first player from Portugal and Boston’s starting center last season, will earn $2,667,944 in 2026/27. Half of that salary is guaranteed until opening night. The 26-year-old averaged 10.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks across 76 games (25.3 minutes) in 2025/26 and becomes extension-eligible in July.

Walsh, 22, is coming off his third year with the club after being selected 38th overall in 2023. The 6-foot-7 forward contributed 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game, appearing in 68 contests with 25 starts. His $2,406,205 salary for next season is non-guaranteed until July 20, and he can also negotiate an extension next month.

Banton, a 6-foot-8 guard, spent most of last season in the G League before signing a two-year deal on the final day of the regular season. His $2,801,346 option for 2026/27 remains non-guaranteed.

The Celtics declined minimum-salary options on Williams and Shulga, but both players could still return. HoopsHype reports that Williams, 24, has already agreed to a new—likely non-guaranteed—contract after appearing in a limited role as a rookie.

Shulga, a Ukrainian guard taken 57th in the 2025 draft, split last season between Boston’s two-way slot and its G League affiliate in Maine, making 11 NBA appearances.
