The Cleveland Cavaliers plan to sign undrafted guard Xaivian Lee to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to DraftExpress analyst Jon Chepkevich.

Lee, 22, spent the 2023-24 season with the Florida Gators after opening his collegiate career at Princeton, where he earned All-Ivy League honors twice. In 35 games for Florida, the 6-foot-3 playmaker averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He hit 29.2 percent of his three-point attempts on 5.6 shots per game.

An Exhibit 10 agreement is a non-guaranteed training-camp contract that can be converted into a two-way deal. If Lee is waived and later spends at least 60 days with the G League affiliate Cleveland Charge, he would qualify for a bonus.

The signing adds another young backcourt option for Cleveland’s Summer League roster. On Wednesday, the Cavaliers selected Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas with the 34th overall pick in the NBA Draft.
