Bulls Contact BYU Coach Kevin Young in Ongoing Head-Coach Search

The Chicago Bulls have held discussions with Brigham Young University head coach Kevin Young as the franchise continues to look for a new leader on the bench, according to ESPN’s Jamal Collier.
Young, 42, accepted a seven-year, $30 million deal to coach the Cougars during the 2024 offseason. Before heading to Provo, the Salt Lake City native spent four seasons as the Phoenix Suns’ associate head coach after joining the NBA ranks with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016. His coaching résumé also includes several years in the G League, where he served as both an assistant and a head coach.
The Bulls’ search, overseen by newly hired head of basketball operations Bryson Graham, features multiple candidates. Trail Blazers interim head coach Tiago Splitter is among those on Chicago’s list, though it remains unclear whether Portland will grant permission for formal talks.
Chicago has not announced a timetable for its decision.
