The Chicago Bulls are set to expand their basketball operations department, planning to name Alex Kaufman general manager of the Windy City Bulls and to hire Jarrett Sutton as a scout, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Kaufman handled the same G League position for the New Orleans Pelicans’ affiliate—recently rebranded the Laketown Squadron—during the 2025/26 season. The New Orleans native spent seven years with the Pelicans organization, receiving at least three promotions along the way before landing the GM post last year.
Sutton, a Kansas City native who played four seasons at the University of Missouri, also worked for the Pelicans, most recently serving as a scout. He confirmed his move to Chicago on his personal Twitter account.
Both executives are familiar faces to new Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Bryson Graham. Graham worked alongside Kaufman and Sutton for six seasons in New Orleans during a 15-year tenure with the Pelicans before joining the Hawks’ front office in the 2025 offseason.
