Victor Wembanyama has been medically cleared to take the floor in Game 4 of the playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers, the team announced Sunday.
The 7-foot-4 star had entered the NBA’s concussion protocol after a frightening head injury earlier in the series. Following a full medical evaluation, he satisfied every step required by league guidelines and was officially removed from the protocol, paving the way for his return.
Game 4 is the next matchup in the best-of-seven series and will be Wembanyama’s first appearance since the incident.
