The San Antonio Spurs have listed guard De’Aaron Fox as questionable for Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals on Tuesday at Frost Bank Center because of soreness in his right ankle.

Fox was hurt with 7:42 remaining in the third quarter of Monday’s Game 4 in Minneapolis, where the Timberwolves evened the series at 2-2. Minnesota guard Ayo Dosunmu landed on Fox’s ankle while diving for a loose ball.

Despite the injury, the nine-year veteran finished the contest, tying rookie Dylan Harper for a team-high 24 points in 37 minutes. Fox later told ESPN he believes the injury is a high right ankle sprain and wanted to see how it responded after the team’s flight back to San Antonio.

Fox is averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in the postseason, ranking second on the team behind Victor Wembanyama. During the regular season he posted 18.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists while starting 72 games. He has not missed a game since March 25.

The Spurs are expected to provide an update after Tuesday’s morning shootaround or during head coach Mitch Johnson’s pregame news conference. If Fox is unable to play, Harper could move into the starting lineup alongside Stephon Castle. Harper started four regular-season games and is averaging 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the playoffs.
