The Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, will leave their current home and begin playing at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
The move, announced on April 30, places the team roughly 120 miles east of its previous base in the greater Los Angeles area. Acrisure Arena, located in the Coachella Valley, opened in late 2022 and hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events.
No additional details about scheduling, ticketing or potential name changes were provided at the time of the announcement.
