Forward Rui Hachimura has reached an agreement on a two-year, $28 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to sources familiar with the deal.
The agreement, first reported to ESPN, links the former lottery pick to the Clippers through the 2025-26 season. Specific contract terms beyond the length and total value were not disclosed.
Hachimura was selected ninth overall in the 2019 NBA draft and has spent his entire professional career in the league. The Japanese forward now becomes part of a Clippers roster that is looking to strengthen its frontcourt depth.
The contract can be signed once league rules allow completed agreements to become official.
