In an exclusive conversation published June 6, veteran broadcaster Marv Albert told the New York Post that the present New York Knicks have captured the city’s attention “at an unprecedented level.”
Albert, long associated with Knicks broadcasts, called the 2026 squad “special” and said the surge of enthusiasm surrounding the team is unlike anything he has witnessed in years of covering New York basketball.
