Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James directed a profanity at Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun during the Lakers’ Game 5 loss on April 30, shouting that the Turkish big man was a “soft a—.”
The remark was captured on the game broadcast as tensions rose late in the contest. Despite the outburst, officials did not issue a technical foul, and play resumed immediately.
Sengun did not appear to respond on the court, and neither player addressed the exchange in their immediate post-game comments.
