The Los Angeles Lakers have decided not to pursue veteran wing DeMar DeRozan during the current NBA free-agency period, according to a report published Monday.
DeRozan, who became available after his recent release, had been linked to several teams seeking scoring depth. The Lakers, however, have opted to fill their remaining roster spots elsewhere and are not planning to open negotiations with the four-time All-Star, the report said.
The decision removes one potential high-profile destination for DeRozan as he evaluates his next move ahead of the 2026-27 season.
