NEW YORK — Karl Towns Sr. told the New York Post on Saturday, June 20, 2026, that this Father’s Day will be the most meaningful of his life because his son has fulfilled the late Jacqueline Cruz-Towns’ longtime dream involving the New York Knicks.
The proud father did not disclose specific details of the milestone but said the achievement brought his family “full circle” after Cruz-Towns’ death from COVID-19 complications in April 2020. According to Towns Sr., his wife always hoped to see their son connected to the Knicks in some capacity, and that wish has now come true.
“Knowing Jackie’s dream finally happened makes this Father’s Day the best one yet,” Towns Sr. told the newspaper.
The elder Towns added that the moment honors his wife’s legacy while strengthening the bond he shares with his son on the eve of the holiday.
