New York Knicks guard/forward Josh Hart offered a blunt, two-word reaction after reports surfaced on Thursday, July 9, 2026, that the Boston Celtics had reached an agreement with center Mitchell Robinson.

Shortly after the news broke, Hart posted “Delete this” on social media, signaling his displeasure—or indifference—toward the move that would send his longtime Knicks teammate to a division rival.

Neither the Knicks nor the Celtics have issued formal statements on the reported signing, and contract details were not immediately available.

Hart, 31, and Robinson, 28, spent three seasons together in New York, helping the Knicks reach the Eastern Conference semifinals in 2024 and 2025. Robinson averaged 9.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks during the 2025-26 campaign, while Hart contributed 8.9 points and 6.3 rebounds.

The Celtics, coming off back-to-back conference finals appearances, have been looking to bolster their frontcourt depth after injuries limited their rotation last season.

Boston’s acquisition of Robinson cannot become official until the league’s moratorium period ends next week. For now, Hart’s terse response is the most public reaction from New York’s locker room.
