The New Orleans Pelicans announced on Monday, May 18, 2026, that Jamahl Mosley has been hired as the franchise’s next head coach.
The decision comes just two weeks after the Orlando Magic relieved Mosley of his duties, ending his stint with the team earlier this month. Terms of his agreement with New Orleans were not released.
Mosley now steps in to lead the Pelicans, returning to an NBA bench only days after his departure from Orlando.
