MIAMI — Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo officially joined the Miami Heat on Monday, July 6, 2026, and almost immediately set off another wave of speculation by posting a lengthy, affectionate message to LeBron James on social media.
The forward’s Instagram note — quickly described by fans as a “love letter” — thanked James for “setting the standard” and praised the four-time champion’s influence on his own career.
