San Antonio — Two San Antonio Spurs supporters who became social-media sensations during Game 1 of the NBA Finals say they will not attend Game 2 after reporting what they describe as “very unsafe” treatment from fellow spectators.

The women told the New York Post on Thursday, June 4, that they were repeatedly harassed by other attendees throughout the opening game of the championship series. According to the pair, the hostile behavior began shortly after tipoff and intensified as the night went on.

“We felt very unsafe,” one of the fans said, explaining that the experience prompted them to rethink their plans for the next matchup. The duo had already purchased tickets for Game 2 but have decided to stay home.

Details of the alleged incidents were not disclosed, and no formal complaint had been filed as of Thursday afternoon. Arena officials, the Spurs organization and the NBA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
