MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves’ Game 4 took a grim turn Sunday night when guard Donte DiVincenzo was diagnosed with a torn Achilles tendon, forcing him out of the contest and ending his postseason.
The injury occurred during the matchup that the Timberwolves were dominating, described as a “crusher.” Moments later, star guard Anthony Edwards also headed to the locker room with an undisclosed injury and did not return.
Team officials confirmed DiVincenzo’s Achilles tear shortly after he was helped off the floor. No immediate update was provided on Edwards’ condition.
Game 4 was part of Minnesota’s current playoff series. Further timelines for both players will be determined after additional medical evaluations.
