Jacob Toppin Agrees to Three-Year Deal With Hapoel Tel Aviv

Free agent forward Jacob Toppin has committed to a three-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, the Israeli club announced Wednesday in a press release.
The 26-year-old, younger brother of Indiana Pacers forward Obi Toppin, went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2023. Over the past three seasons he split time between the Knicks, the Hawks and their respective G League affiliates, appearing in 31 NBA regular-season games and totaling 131 minutes.
Toppin signed a two-way deal with Atlanta in July 2025 but was waived in December after undergoing season-ending surgery on a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Before the injury, he played five games for the Hawks and five for the College Park Skyhawks, averaging 18.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 31.0 minutes per G League outing.
The agreement marks Toppin’s first professional move overseas. He joins a Hapoel Tel Aviv squad that finished the 2025/26 EuroLeague regular season at 23-15, placing sixth before falling to Real Madrid in the opening playoff round.
Hapoel Tel Aviv’s roster already features several players with NBA experience. The club added Amir Coffey and Tomas Satoransky earlier in the offseason and secured new deals with Elijah Bryant, Ish Wainright, Antonio Blakeney and Daniel Oturu. Veterans Vasilije Micic and Tyler Ennis also remain under contract.
